Jeffrey Lee Pierce had just quit The Gun Club and got a new band, The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Quartet. The band was almost two hours late. Rumours in the audience was he had overdosed. Turns out he was in a verbal fight with a really great, great harmonica player how to play the harmonica and it was obviously of great importance.
This is one of my favorite portraits I took of him that summer at Moderna Museets Trädgård 1985.
